Is The Rapture Of The Church Imminent?
Many End Time teachers say The Rapture Of The Church can happen at any time- meaning it is imminent. However, many say it is not imminent. The problem is that many End Time teachers don’t know of the ancient prophecy that reveals when we would know when The Rapture of The Church is Imminent. Therefore, this has led to wrong assumptions regarding the timing of The Rapture Of The Church. Some teachers are aware of this ancient key prophecy, but many don’t understand the prophecy. And also, many don’t realize this prophecy is the Key foundation scripture to understanding the timing of The Rapture of The Church. Jesus references this scripture in Matthew 24:15, and Mark 13:14. This ancient prophecy has two astounding parts. The 1st part of the prophecy stated 500 years in advance, a major historical event would take place, which began the 483 year countdown to when Jesus rode into Jerusalem on the donkey. That prophecy was fulfilled to the exact day.
The 2nd part of this prophecy also states a major historical event will take place (not WW III, or some pandemic) that begins the countdown regarding The Rapture Of The Church. There are many more important details that are covered in this Website and from the Free Downloads, which contain a wealth of information.
God doesn’t make things confusing. 1 Cor 14:33, “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.” The problem is that most people have taken scriptures out of context, and not incorporated other Key related scriptures. This is one of the main causes for the different views of The Rapture Of The Church. If people would read Matt. 24:3-31, and simply accept what these verses say, they would see that there are certain major events which need to occur before The Rapture of the Church.
The Bible cautions us about being deceived regarding The Rapture of the Church
Matt 24:3-4, “. . . Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.” Jesus then explained to the apostles the sign of His coming, and of the end of the world. The scriptures that follow show that He is referring to The Rapture Of The Church. Jesus gives a strong warning about this. Take heed that no man deceive you. Deceived is a very strong admonition. Deception causes problems, whether small or big, and often opens up other areas for being deceived. Jesus doesn’t want anyone to be deceived regarding The Rapture Of The Church.
Jesus then lists various events that precede The Rapture of The Church
Verse, 15 “When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)” The “abomination of desolation” is about the Antichrist. And Jesus was referring to a future event, and not a past event. We are also supposed to understand this prophecy in Daniel that Jesus was referring to. Before explaining that prophecy, let’s see what Jesus states in some of the following verses of Matthew. Many people think that The Rapture is before the Antichrist, but let’s see what Jesus says. Verse 21, “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.” Verses 29-31, “Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” It should be obvious that the “gather together” is The Rapture. Verses 30-31 are referring back to verse 3, “the sign of they coming,” which is about The Rapture of the Church. All the different events in Matthew 24 through 31 are sequential, and The Rapture is the last event. Therefore, Jesus states The Rapture of the Church is after The Great Tribulation and after the Meteorite Shower. History of The Rapture Views
It is interesting that for over 1,800 years after Jesus lived on earth, almost all Bible theologians and End Time teachers taught that The Rapture Of The Church is after the Great Tribulation. Around 1850 the Pre Tribulation Rapture began; this was partly due to Darwin’s Theory of Evolution. Because he had a scientific background and was quite persuasive, the Church compromised, and then began to teach that God used Evolution. Therefore, more Church leaders and people began to believe that the earth was billions of years old, and not in a literal 6-day Creation. This is a lengthy subject and not the focus here. Also, during that time, New Age Bible versions started, which were largely based on the heretical teachings of Westcott and Hort (friends of Darwin). Today, many Bible translations also use many of these same teachings.
However, in recent times, the Creations Scientists have debunked the tenets of the Evolutionists. They no longer debate them, because the Creation Scientists tear their tenets apart with scientific facts. The Creation Scientists also show scientific facts that the earth is less than 10,000 years old. They advocate a literal 6-day Creation.
Regrettably, today many End Time teachers proclaim that The Rapture of the Church can happen at any time, and many claim it is the next main event in Bible Prophecy. As already covered, this is not what Jesus taught. Almost everyone would prefer if we could escape the Great Tribulation, but that is not what the Bible teaches. It is true that Christians don’t go through the Wrath, but the Wrath is a totally different event than the Great Tribulation. The Wrath is God’s vengeance on the unbelievers after The Rapture. It’s sad that many End Time Teachers don’t know the difference between the Great Tribulation and The Wrath. See Tab on top of page, “Tribulation vs. Wrath.”Furthermore, many End Time teachers don’t know the event that begins the End Times. This is stated in one of the Free Downloads, “Why Is The 70th Week of Daniel Foundational To Understanding The End Times.” This event is covered in this chapter. This event also begins the countdown to The Rapture of the Church, and the countdown to the timing and duration of other End Time Events.
